Tofino's Contemporary

Art Gallery

We invite you to experience our intimate gallery space and its thoughtfully curated artworks by emerging and established local and regional artists in painting, sculpture & photography.

New artist

Sal Wiltshire

TGCA is proud to offer a new selection of artwork by painter, Sal Wiltshire.
Sal is a teacher and artist living on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish people, splitting her time between what is commonly known as Hornby Island and Salt Spring Island.

An artist from the beginning, observing the world around her and creating artwork as a process of reflection is something that has always felt natural for Sal. After some time away from art — during which she pursued two degrees in History and a degree in Education — Sal has come back to painting. She works primarily with oils on wood surfaces, in both ‘plein air’ and in the studio.

New artist

Janice Beaudoin

Janice Beaudoin is known for her playful, design-forward abstractions inspired by shapes and colours of the natural and built world around us.

New artist

Sandra Froher

Sandra Prest-Froher is an Indigenous Energy Artist, fashion designer and natural dyer who lives, works and plays on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. She was born in Terrace, BC and currently resides with her family in Victoria, BC. She is a member of the Sqwah First Nation in the Fraser Valley and is from the Stolo Nation.
